Karina Vasquez, Esq.


Karina is a Partner at Forman Capital Partners, where she works directly with borrowers, lenders, and professional referral partners to structure and execute commercial financing transactions. She maintains strong relationships with commercial real estate attorneys, 1031 exchange qualified intermediaries, CPAs, cost segregation specialists, hedge fund managers, private equity sponsors, brokers, developers, and construction companies. Her ability to communicate at a peer level with legal and financial professionals on both sides of a transaction is one of the firm's strongest advantages.

Karina earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. She launched her career at a large international law firm, then moved to a national firm where she advised on sophisticated transactions across multiple practice areas. She went on to found her own law practice in Miami's Brickell corridor, advising clients on estate planning, tax strategy, business formation, MCA defense, and commercial transactions. She is fluent in English and Spanish and licensed to practice law in Florida, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C.

In addition to her own practice, Karina currently serves as General Counsel to a private equity firm, where she advises on deal structuring, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and execution at the institutional level. That combination of big-firm training, private practice, and in-house PE counsel experience gives her a perspective very few people in the commercial capital advisory world can match.

Karina takes a consultative approach with every borrower. She breaks down terms, structure, and tradeoffs in clear language so the client fully understands their position before committing. She consistently delivers multiple financing scenarios, typically an Option A, B, and C, so clients can compare side by side and pick the path that best fits their objectives. At the negotiating table she pushes for better terms, challenges lender conditions that don't serve the borrower, and stays engaged through every stage of the deal.

Aren started this firm because he's never been comfortable watching that happen. Move fast. Negotiate hard. And treat every deal like the clock is ticking, because it usually is.

Aren has built a network of over 175 direct relationships with lending reps at regional banks, institutional debt funds, private balance-sheet lenders, hard money shops, SBA originators, and agency platforms across the country, along with developers, construction companies, and commercial real estate attorneys throughout South Florida and nationally. Many of these relationships give Forman Capital access to private capital and pricing that isn't available through traditional channels. When a deal comes in, Aren already knows who to call and what they'll say yes to.

Aren got his start in the merchant cash advance space, where he saw firsthand what bad capital does to a business. His job now is to make sure the structure a borrower takes is one they can actually live with two years from now. Sometimes that means telling them not to do the deal. He went on to become licensed on the residential mortgage side, where he absorbed how capital markets function at every level, and through the relationships he built during that time, found his way into the commercial space naturally.
